Instrumental
The Glenn Gould Foundation approached us with Instrumental, a new initiative promoting music and arts as tools for teen mental wellness. This digital product offers support for issues like depression, trauma, and anxiety.
Our challenge was to create an uplifting experience for teens, avoiding triggers while showcasing mental health content. We designed Instrumental's brand identity around brain waves, sound waves, and life's path, inspiring a logomark symbolizing personal and musical journeys. The aesthetics resonated with teens, using neon colors and strong sans-serif typography. We created wavy graphics, notes, and illustrations as "stickers" across applications.
For the website, we focused on creating a standout digital experience. We used the brand system to communicate information engagingly, making difficult conversations more approachable. Animation and movement enriched the concept of navigating life through multiple pathways, creating an interactive user experience.
